Starting May 30th, we charge a flat seasonal membership of $39 for current members and $59 for new members.
We recently changed our service fees from a flat 5% service fee to a fixed fee to create a more direct relationship between emerging designers and retailers. Commission made us the middle man in your relationship.
Membership fees can be paid monthly. If you're not happy with your membership, you can cancel for a full refund.
We’ve designed the flow so that you can spend maximum time making and reduce the time for researching and hearing back from buyers.
Here's what An Extra Hand membership includes
Access to guaranteed feedback

You will get guaranteed feedback directly from the MOST requested retailers on SKUE. Retailers like SF MoMA, Michele Varian, Rare Device, Paxton Gate, Acacia, Whistle
Introductions to new retailers each month
Instead of chasing each account separately you can work with multiple retailers in one place. We invite new retailers to the mix each month during our monthly buying rounds. Our top retailers can be found here
You can also reach out to three retailers each month on SKUE who are open to warm intros.
Promoting your products via our newsletter and partnerships
We send a newsletter to our buyers once a month and feature new lines, products, and makers. We collaborate with prominent and well-established showrooms and rep groups like Roost, Keena and Kiss That Frog for buyer outreach. Within the maker community, we also promote your brand through our partnership with Renegade Craft Fair and their blog, IG, Newsletter etc reaching a total audience of over 150K members in the design community.
Including your products to the right retailer profiles
Through a combination of humans and data-driven algorithms, we able to match you to the right retailers and showcase your products on their profiles. We also ensure that we're not putting you up at a store where you already have products with a competing neighborhood store.
Working with you on boring Admin Stuff
Shipping, terms and conditions, plenty of moving parts in wholesale. Members can get in touch with us anytime to sort these problems and focus on making.
Escalating trickier issues to our buyer panel
Sometimes it's not your product, it could be a deeper problem with your profile. You may need to pitch to a different audience than you originally intended. For more advanced help, we have a buyer panel that consists of store owners and buyer reps.
Setting you up for reorders
Wholesale gets profitable with reorders. Our shopping cart is set up for that. Retailers are reminded every three months it reorder because they're busy people and forget.
Finding out why retailers aren’t reordering
There are several reasons retailers don’t reorder. And they aren’t great at communicating. We look into it on your behalf. It's a part of our commitment to giving timely feedback.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. When inquiries are made via SKUE we have a record and we can quickly fix the relationship so you can go back to doing business.
Invitation to SKUE workshops and trade events
We invite our most active wholesale members to our West Coast trade shows. These are set up twice a year in Jan and July in partnership with top buyer groups from the Western Regions. We also, partner with craft fairs like Renegade Craft during their Wholesale Market. Offline events drive sales online and a great way to meet new retailers and show off your lovely personality.
