When is it?
The expected turnout is 600 + buyers. Previous INDIE had 400+ attendee buyers between all four venues from around the Bay area. The Winter show will be a ONE single venue in Berkeley with handmade and manufactured goods under one roof.
Michael Levy: Paxton Gate
Rachel Kinney: Foxglove
SFMoma: Shane Salvata
DeYoung Museum: Rose Burke
Nathan Waldon: Nathan and Co
Mary Gale: The Gardener
And plenty of wonderful people who you'll get to meet in person.
What will they spend on average?
Their annual sales range from $500K-$4M :
The average spend per buyer with individual designers will vary based on your category and fit at their store. We do expect buyers will spend on average up to 20-25% of their annual budget. That would be split between designer manufactured goods and handmade products. The split between handmade and manufactured goods is now at about 40/60 and that gap has been closing fast over the years.
Great news for handmade makers.

Yes, it’s fast and convenient for buyers to have one centralized place to order and keep track for re-orders We book all orders through the SKUE platform. Membership also means we assist you with building a profile that we heavily promote to buyers, not just during the show bit also before and after to a large buyer list.
When is the application deadline?
Applications have now closed. But you can apply for INDIE summer.
SKUE has a 380sq ft space and a visual merchandising expert to help with set up. Like any trade show, you have to bring samples only, one of each. We will provide the tables, walls, a decal of your logo and blurb. Unlike trade shows, set up will be fast and stress-free. ;)
Bring samples only. One of each piece and their variants. We'll also speak to you about bringing props you already have that have worked well for you for display. No cash and carry or exchange of goods will happen at the show. Buyers will write orders and let you know when and where to ship.
We're are planning breakfast session to help with your wholesale careers. They range from show training to scaling manufacturing and new trends for 2017.
We will be doing panels with buyers everyday morning 9:30-10. All exhibitors (not only SKUE are welcome to attend)
